What I'm Loving Wednesday

I love linking up with Jamie each week for
What I'm Loving Wednesday....

I'm loving...
the past few afternoons that the girls and I have spent sunning and swimming at the Family Swim Club....and tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter, so I guess we'll be there again!
I'm loving...
sleeping late each day, because all of that will end too soon....
back to work at MCHS!  Go Bulldogs!!
I'm loving...
the new season of Big Brother!
Please house guests, vote to evict Rachel!
I'm loving....
that Charles has the offer of a full-time job with a construction company.  He has also decided that he'd like to go to the SC Fire Academy in the near future...
Thank you, Jesus, so helping him to move forward!
I'm loving....
that the movie "The Help" is coming out on Aug. 10th.  I read the book and cannot wait to see the film at the theater..
While in Cheraw last week, I went to visit "Bill," the lady who kept me and kept house for our family when I was little.  Sadly, she is suffering from dementia and did not even know who I was.....more about her at another time....

Happy Wednesday, er...Thursday everyone!!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

One of my favorites....
What I'm Loving Wednesday!
Go link up with Jamie and join us.

I'm loving that the Lady Dawgs are still in it to win it!!  After last Friday night's upsetting loss to St. James, I thought that they were finished....but I was wrong!  Last night we traveled to Georgetown and played another team of Lady Bulldogs.  The score was 1-0 Georgetown when lightning lit up the sky and the game was halted.  It's the top of the 4th inning, we have one out, a runner on 2nd, and Kayla and Lawren are coming up to bat. We will drive back to Georgetown this evening to finish the game and I'll hopefully post a MCHS winning score tomorrow!
I'm loving that I only have one more day of school for this week after today.  On Friday, I'm going back to my former school, McColl Elem./Middle, to tie dye with the 6th graders.  It is a tradition that they wear tie dyed shirts on field day!  I cannot wait to go back and see all of the teachers and students for a day!
These are the shirts that I dyed with Grayson and Joy
last week for MA's field day!
I'm loving the new book that i picked up from Books-A-Million....
The Shadow of Your Smile by Mary Higgins Clark.
And, as always, I'm loving my super smart and sweet spouse and my three temperamental teenagers....
PS:  Just found out that the field in Georgetown is too wet to play on so today's game is cancelled.  We'll travel South on Thursday evening to finish up the game!
Go (MCHS) Lady Dawgs!!

Friday Fill-Ins

FFI

And...here we go!

1. The Wizard of Oz is my favorite TV show (or movie) because its message is so pure...
"There's no place like home."

2. Go to page 45 of the book you're reading or of the book closest to you; go to the 6th paragraph and make a sentence out of 7 words from it:  Following years of confusion, I recognized that the man in front of me was my one and only love, my whole world, and the very best match for me! (from The Rifle by Gary Paulsen)

3. I am congested  .

4.I miss taking long walks.

5. Take some time to  appreciate all that you've been given .

6. Our house needs a bit of TLC.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to the softball game, tomorrow my plans include sleeping late and maybe clean a little, and Sunday, I want to go to church, have a nice dinner, and chill out with my family!

Fill in the Blank Friday

1.   What I love most about my home is       the coziness and homeyness contained within the four brick walls....I also love remembering the good times and anticipating the future plans and memories that will be made there....

2.  I'm excited because,    I'm going to ride to the beach today to pick up L and MJ from a field trip, and then the Lady Dawgs play tonight in the first round of the Lower State softball championship!  GO BULLDOGS!!

3.  My preferred method for blowing  off steam when I'm frustrated is     to cook....or run away and be alone for a while...

4.  Currently I am craving   Wendy's FF and a frosty!

5.  The thing I love most about my mom is     that she made me who I am.  I learned so much from her and become more like her everyday.  She raised the five of us practically on her own and loved us unconditionally...she was a super mama!!

6.  If I was going to write a book about my life, the title would be       "The Making of JoMama" because that encompasses most of my life, from adolescence to adulthood....and I'm still evolving.....

7.  If I were to eat one thing for the rest of eternity it would be       pizza because you can put just about anything you want on pizza....load it with veggies and cheese, or cover it with fresh fruit and granola....it is the perfect food!!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

One of my favorites....
What I'm Loving Wednesday!
Go link up with Jamie and join us.
(This week has been much better than last...thankfully!)
I'm loving that the varsity softball team won the region championship!
Go Lady DAWGS!  Playoff action begins next Thursday...
I'm loving that after unnecessarily fretting, I discovered that I had already made our beach reservations for the SCFA convention in June....I made them last July and had totally forgotten!  YAY me!!
I'm loving that I am finished with Water for Elephants, by Sara Gruen, and cannot wait for the movie to be released this Friday, April 22.  If you've not read this novel, pick it up...it's fun and vivid, yet very emotional....and an easy read.
I'm loving that we only have ONE MORE DAY until spring break...
"I think I can, I think I can, I think I can..."
I'm loving that Easter is right around the corner.  My whole Christian faith is based on the fact that Jesus was crucified and died on the cross to save all of us, though we are unworthy and undeserving.  Then my Savior arose from the dead and ascended into heaven to prepare a place for us.  Praise, glory, and honor to our precious Lord!  Happy Easter everyone!
And, of course, I'm loving my sweet husband and my three wild and woolly teenagers...
These four complete me!

Show Us Your Life - What's on your reading list?

I, too, love to read, and just finished reading The Help...
It was such a great book and I became so involved with the characters that I actually missed them when I didn't have a chance to sit down to read.

Currently, I'm feverishly reading Water for Elephants...
The movie comes out on April 22 (I think) and I've set a deadline for myself to finish the book before the films plays at a nearby theater.
My next novel is going to be Georgia Bottoms.  The cover caught my eye so I picked it up at Books-A-Million when Chuck and I were in Florence last weekend.  Can't wait to start it!!
Go link up with Kelly and let everyone know what's on your reading list....
