Fill in the Blank Friday

1.   One of my happiest moments ever was       actually two days....both were in August.  Those were the days that our children were born....

2.  Summer is wedding season and weddings are    wonderful.  Chuck and I got married in June of 1992, so next summer we will celebrate 20 years of marriage...

3.  This summer     has been hot, hot, HOT!!  And I don't think the weather is letting up any time soon....

4.  My summer food of choice has been   salads of all kinds....cool egg salad sandwiches, creamy pasta salad, colorful fruit salad, crispy cole slaw and tossed salads, chunky chicken salad, and fresh tuna salad.....

5.  My summer uniform has been     100% cotton shorts and t-shirts....

6.  If I could spend the entire summer in one location I would choose      Myrtle Beach....I love hanging out at the beach and by the pool!   .

7.  My summer anthem is       "Save Me San Francisco," by Train....since L and MJ just got back from SF.... .

Go link up with Lauren @ The Little Things We Do and join in....
and have a fabulous Friday and a
wonderful weekend!
Stay cool!

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

It has been a while since I linked up with Carissa for
Miscellany Monday.....
(and I've missed it...glad to be back!)

[one]
I'm so glad to have my girls home!  They were gone for three weeks, and those three weeks were the longest in my life!
Thanks to these two, my sister Chandler and her husband Gary, for having Lawren and Mary Jo on the west coast.  Y'all relax for a while....I'm sure you need a break from having two teenagers visit!

[two]
Pray for this little family....

[three]
We had a pretty good softball weekend...
Thankfully the weather was cooler!

The Carolina Cyclones played in a four-day tourney in Florence, and ended up in 2nd place out of 25 teams.....

Next stop -- Raleigh, NC, for the Carolina Cardinals Classic!
Go "here" to see a list of the 98 teams that we'll face...

[four]
So, I'm so glad that CBS's Big Brother is back on.  Hopefully I'll be able to watch it when it comes on and won't have to catch up during the highlights or on the computer.
 [five]
Lemon is missing... :(
With carpenters and roofers working on our house, the backyard gate was left open at some point in time and he wandered away...
Please come home, buddy!  I miss you!

Good-bye at the airport in SF
I was overjoyed to see Lawren and Mary Jo step out of the corridor in the airport in Charlotte!  They talked the whole way home, telling me and their daddy about their west coast adventure.

I'm glad that they had this opportunity, but I'll tell the truth....it will be a loooooong time before they leave for three weeks again....I missed them too much!

Welcome home babies....ILY both very much!

The California adventure continues....

Lawren and Mary Jo have been in northern California since June 22.  They've never been away from home for this length of time.  Back in February when these plans were made, three weeks seemed like good time frame for a first time visit across the country, but I'm really missing my girls.  We got to skype last night and I'm sure they thought I was a babbling fool....I was so glad to see them!
