What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm linking up with Lauren over at "This Kind of Love"
 for this week's edition of
What I'm Loving Wednesday.
Please go join in the fun..... :)

I'm loving that I'm finally a BULLDOG!!

I'm so excited!  I was able to transfer into the special education department since a teacher asked to be reassigned to the PE department.
Thank you God for answering my prayers....I'm so very, very happy to be at the same school and on the same schedule as my husband and children.

I'm loving that I'm consistently accomplishing items on my 101 in 1001 list.  Here's what I've crossed off recently:
25.  Donate to heifer.com in honor of at least 10 people
32.  Find an established softball team for Lawren and Mary Jo
62.  Organize video collection
73.  Purchase a new TV
86.  Send 10 postcards vis postcrossing.com....completed, but it's so much fun that I'm going to continue!!
95.  Transferred to MCHS
105.  Watch 10 classic movies I've never seen before

I'm loving this poster that I rediscoverd when decorating my new classroom.....it just says it all!
Charles

MJ and Lawren

Chuck
And, of course, and as always, I'm loving my three outstanding teenagers and my hard-working husband....the four of them complete me!

Top 2 Tuesday

Top 2 Tuesday: Top 2 New Year's Resolutions

I'm linking up with Taylor over at The Undomestic Momma for one of my weekly favorites, Top 2 Tuesday!

[one]
I've got to get myself back together and drink more water, eat healthier (more fruits and veggies, smaller portions), and lose more weight.  I was pleasantly surprised when I last stepped on the scales....I'd only gained 2 pounds from the original 50 that I lost....but I still have such a long way to go!  With God's help, I can do this!

[two]
I am resolving to get this
house more organized and less cluttered.
This is going to be an on-going effort that will have to involve everyone in the family, and getting them on board is going to be a task in itself!  Again, with God's help, I can do this!!

[two and 1/2]
Improve my prayer life, and learn to depend on God for all of my needs.
Let go and let God!

Friday's Lunch - Sept. 24, 2010

I'm back on track....for the time being, at least.  I've got to lose more weight and become healthier.  I lost 50+ pounds on WW (thanks to Jenny - ILY friend!), and then got a little slack over the summer.  Well, I'm on the straight and narrow now, making good choices and watching my portions.  HOORAY for me!  (Just a little positive self-motivation...:)

Anyway, here's what I had for lunch today....delicious!!
Lean Cuisine Wood Fire Style Margherita Pizza - 6 points
Diet Coke - 0 points
I may eat a banana later in the afternoon, if I get hungry....

Miscellany Monday - Sept. 20, 2010

Last evening, the girls and I went to Judgement House in Dillon with the CUMC youth group.  The drama was about a young man who had gone to live with his grandma after his parents went to prison for drug use.  The boy committed suicide by overdosing after his grandma's unexpected death.  He had rejected God, felt hopeless, and consequently, spent his eternity in hell.   I hope that the drama had an impact on the youth that attended....it sure had one on me.

At school, I really enjoy my 2 cups of coffee each morning.  It is always piping hot and ready (thanks to Miss Viv) when I walk into my office...I can smell it's rich, strong aroma when I enter the doors at the middle school end of our building....so welcoming!

Chuck and I both lost around 50 pounds each.  We worked really hard making good choices and controlling portions beginning in Jan. of 2010.  Well, when summer rolled around, we lost our diligence and became a little more lax.  Now it's time to get back with the program.  Starting today, I am going to be more conscientious about my food intake....no more indulging in sweets, breads, fats, etc.!  I've got to do it for me and for my family.  Wish me luck....and willpower!

I did not go to the grocery store at all last week!  We have no staples in the house!  Both the kids and Chuck wanted bread over the weekend, and all I could say was, "We don't have any."  Isn't that pitiful....not even a slice of bread!  I've got to make a trip to Bi-Lo and get some essentials so I can prepare tonight's supper, and plan for the upcoming week.

One more day of school until fall intercession!  HOORAY!!

That's all for now....again, have a marvelous Monday all!
