FOR TODAY
Outside my window...it's an absolutely beautiful, warm day!  I LOVE SC weather!!
I am thinking...I need to run to Florence to get some stabilizer, but gas is so expensive!!
I am thankful for...my husband and children...
From the kitchen...(I'm in the kitchen) are the sounds of the TV and the dishwasher...
I am wearing...jeans, a green and white striped shirt (it's St. Patrick's Day), and brown leather clogs.
I am creating...a t-shirt quilt made from Relay for Life t-shirts.  The team at school is going to raffle it off to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
I am going...to probably go on to Florence so I can continue working on this quilt.
I am reading...The Help by Kathryn Stockett
I am hoping...that I can sleep a little later tomorrow morning since we are having a staff development day and the students won't be at school....
I am hearing...the television and the dishwasher...
Around the house...same old thing....a cluttered mess :((  I've got to get busy!!
One of my favorite things...is watching my girls play softball...
A few plans for the rest of the week:  sleeping late tomorrow morning, getting ready for our Sunday School breakfast on Saturday morning, straightening up here in the house, SS and church on Sunday, and hopefully a nap.... :)

FOR TODAY: January 10, 2011

Outside my window... it is very cold....snow is all over the ground and on the tree branches.  The dogs have made paths all through the yard, up to the porch, into their doghouse, and over to the gate.  We live in the south, so we don't have snow very often...thank goodness....

I am thinking... boy, that's a lot of snow!  I hope it does not start to sleet now and make the roads messier than they already are. I am also thinking about how we missed school today and will probably  be out tomorrow too, so that will mean we will have two days we have to make up between now and the end of the school year....

I am thankful for...the opportunity to reconnect with my siblings over the last week or so...I love them all so much and wish that we could regain the closeness we had when Mama was living.

From the kitchen... comes the smell of the warm chocolate pound cake that I just took out of the oven....

I am wearing... a long sleeve white t-shirt, blue jeans, and white socks....

I am creating...a big pot of chicken bog for my families' supper.

I am going... no where today because of the snow.  There is no way I'd go out driving in this weather.  Matter of fact, just now Chuck and Charles left home to go on a wreck call about a bloclk or so from here...overturned vehicle.  God help the victims and the rescuers...

I am reading...The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven by Kevin and Alex Malarky and am going to read The Help by Kathryn Stockett as soon as I finish the other book.

I am hoping... that I will get good news from "the man." 

I am hearing... a commercial on the television and the sound of the blower on the fireplace. There's not too much else happening here in the den since the firefighters rushed out.....

Around the house... is the usual clutter.  One of my New Years Resolutions is to dejunk and organize our home, but I just havne't started yet....tomorrow may be a good day to start....or maybe not....

this quiet, rainy day after Thanksgiving....

FOR TODAY...
Outside my window...it's cool, overcast, and it has been raining off and on...

I am thinking...I really want this to be a low-key day with no drama or stress.

I am thankful for...my kids, my husband, last nights bountiful Thanksgiving feast, and the current silence.

I am pondering...what Chuck is going to do about buying a third vehicle and who he is going to get to work on the house...

From the kitchen...not too much going on at the minute...Chuck is at the table working on fire dept. business...

I am wearing...soft, worn jeans, my pink WFD t-shirt, and brown crocs...

I am creating...a list in my head of all of the things that I need to do...but that probably won't get done today....I'm procrastinating....

I am going...to take Lawren to BB practice and then the family is going out with Chuck's mama tonight for supper.

I am reading...blogs, Facebook, Outlive Your Life by Max Lucado...

Living a healthy lifestyle...is so tough....I've got to get back on my WW plan and start counting points again.....and drink more water...

I am hoping... my headache will subside, and hoping that the Advent Fair will be well attended and will go smoothly on Sunday afternoon...

I am hearing...the low volume of the kitchen TV, occasional printer use, wind chimes tinkling in the backyard, and the drone of an airplane in the distance

Around the house...shoes scattered around, afghans and pillows on the couch, and the usual piles of laundry waiting to be attended to....
Around the yard... the oak tree limbs are hanging low and squirrels scamper around as they enjoy the many acorns on the ground...

One of my favorite things... comfortable, casual clothing...

A few plans for the rest of the week... supper with the M-I-L tonight; low-key, uneventful Saturday; SS and church (Hanging of the Greens) on Sunday, followed by the Advent Fair and congregational supper; and then school next week...ready to see those sweet, fresh-faced 1st graders!!

Outside my window...it's a sunny but cool day here in beautiful SC...

I am thinking...I need to go get ready for Sunday school and church right now.

I am thankful for...my kids, my husband, my home, my family, and my friends.

I am pondering...if I am really going to like teaching the little kids at school...did I make a mistake moving from the middle school end....

From the kitchen...nothing is happening this morning....

I am wearing...my favorite pink nightshirt.

I am creating...a list of needed items to get next time I go to Wal-Mart or the grocery store...

I am going...to First United Methodist to teach Sunday school and worship my Lord and Savior.

I am reading...Facebook, blogs, Everyday with Rachael Ray, and several novels...

Living a healthy lifestyle...trying to watch what I eat and making good choices...drinking more water...

I am hoping... that the children will be satisfied and there won't be any controversy this afternoon...

I am hearing...Spanky barking out in the backyard...

Around the house...I need to work on laundry (never-ending laundry), and straighten up the kitchen and den.

Around the yard... the back patio is covered with acorns...

One of my favorite things... being with my husband and children...

A few plans for the rest of the week... school on Monday - Friday, and carting the girls from one practice to the next...in other words, business as usual...
