Saturday 6 - Peanuts

Saturday Six – Episode 338
On this date in 1950, Charles M. Schultz’s pride and joy, the comic strip Peanuts, made its debut.
For sixty years now, the world of Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Sally, Snoopy and Woodstock has been delighting generations. Schultz announced his retirement in January, 2000, after being diagnosed with cancer. He died about five weeks later, and his will carried the request that no one else could ever draw the strip, a request that has so far been honored.
The characters Schulz created are the topic of this week’s questions.
Here are this week’s “Saturday Six” questions. Either answer the questions in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your journal…but either way, leave a link to your journal so that everyone else can visit! Permission is not granted to copy the questions to message boards for the purpose of having members answer and play along there. Enjoy!

1. Who is your favorite Peanuts character?  Snoopy
2. Which Peanuts character is your least favorite?  Peppermint Patty
3. If it were up to you, would Lucy have to let Charlie Brown kick the football?  No, that would be so out of character for her....
4. When did you last read a Peanuts comic strip?  Maybe a month ago..
5. Which of the television movies based on Peanuts was your favorite as a kid?  A Charlie Brown Christmas
6. Should the strip ever be drawn by someone else, even if that person agrees to keep the same values its creator held so dear?  No....it would not be the same without Charles Schultz drawing it

BTW....Peanuts is my all-time favorite comic strip.  Thanks for asking these questions!
