OMG Mama...you're not going to demonstrate, are you?

I saw this video on another blogger's page.  When I watched it, I knew I had to share also.

The video so reminded me of the evening I discussed using tampons with my twin daughters.  I thinkk I'll always remember MJ saying in a horrified squeal, "Oh my God Mama....you're not going to demonstrate, are you?"

WARNING:  Period talk...but it's very, very funny!!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I love linking up with Jamie each week for
What I'm Loving Wednesday....

I'm loving...
the past few afternoons that the girls and I have spent sunning and swimming at the Family Swim Club....and tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter, so I guess we'll be there again!
I'm loving...
sleeping late each day, because all of that will end too soon....
back to work at MCHS!  Go Bulldogs!!
I'm loving...
the new season of Big Brother!
Please house guests, vote to evict Rachel!
I'm loving....
that Charles has the offer of a full-time job with a construction company.  He has also decided that he'd like to go to the SC Fire Academy in the near future...
Thank you, Jesus, so helping him to move forward!
I'm loving....
that the movie "The Help" is coming out on Aug. 10th.  I read the book and cannot wait to see the film at the theater..
While in Cheraw last week, I went to visit "Bill," the lady who kept me and kept house for our family when I was little.  Sadly, she is suffering from dementia and did not even know who I was.....more about her at another time....

Happy Wednesday, er...Thursday everyone!!

We Want to Know Wednesday

Photobucket

{1} If you could spend a day with a blogger, who you haven't met in real life, who would you choose?  I don't know one in particular, but I'd like to spend a day with a blogger with a lot of children...

{2} What website do you check first when you go online?  I check my email...hotmail first and then my school email account...

{3} What is something you are saving money for right now?  I'm trying to save so I can redo my bedroom....

{4} What is your go to silly face when a silly face is needed? (post a pic of it and be entered to win a prize from Mamarazzi)

{5} How do you relieve stress?  I cook....and eat....

WTF - Wednesday

Rating your life and covering your toilet paper
1) Veterinarians always say people should not feed their leftover food to their pets, but one of my dogs has eaten people food for his entire 16 years of life and has no health issues. Do you feel it's okay to feed people food to pets or should you always follow the vet's instructions?  Our dogs occasionally snack on people food...Pippi loves potato chips and pasta salad....and carrots....and orka...and bologna, etc.

2) Have you ever become addicted to a game (of any sort)? If so, what was it?  I wouldn't say addicted, but I do love to play computer games every now and then...

3) This week is World Breastfeeding Week. Should women be able to breastfeed in public places (assuming their covered up)?  YES....there is nothing like the calmness and contentedness of nursing your baby....

4) It is National Clown Week. Because of my ex-husband, clowns freak me out. Have clowns ever scared you?  Nope, never been afraid of clowns...

5) If you became a spy and could pick anyone (living or dead, real or fictional) as your partner, who would it be?  I'd choose my Mama....she was a wonderful spy! It was amazing some of the info she could find out.

6) Last week my boyfriend told me this, "I get life philosophy from pop culture." Where do you (or did you) get the majority of your life philosophy?  I got it from my mama.... :)

7) My local newspaper did a story over the weekend about stories taxi cab drivers hear while driving passengers. It was a "taxi cab confessions" type story. Have you ever had a deep conversation with a cab driver?  No, because I've never ridden in a taxi.  We live in a small rural town where there are no taxi service.

8) Cottonelle has introduced a toilet paper cover. (Watch a TV commercial here.) Do you think toilet paper should be hidden or is it okay for people to see it "naked" in your bathroom?  It's perfectly OK to display your TP....no one wants to take time to play hide and seek with the tissue!!!

9) The Food Network's show "Meat & Potatoes" is rated "M" for "Meat." Many movies are rated "PG" for "Parental Guidance." Some video games are rated "E" for "Everyone." What is your life rated?   My life would be rated "MOT" for Mama of Teenagers...

10) What was a quick decision you once made that changed your life?  I made the decision to kick my first husband out....my life changed for the better immediately!

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

[one]
Lawren and I made chocolate crepes yesterday afternoon.  She had seen crepes at the International Fair on a school field trip and when visiting in SF.  Here's how they looked....Lawren's presentation...
[two]
School (for teachers) starts in 10 short days.  I am kind of excited but also dreading the end of my summer vacation.

[three]
The girls and I spent the afternoon sunning and swimming at the Family Swim Club.  The weather was not as hot as it has been, but the heat promises to return full force here in the South by the end of the week.
[four]
I HAD to buy gas today....my car said "0 miles to E"... :(
I crept (with my fingers crossed) to the Shell station across town (probably 5 whole miles...small town!), and bought my gas using my Fuel Perks card from Bi-Lo.  I had accumulated .85, so I ended up paying only $2.69 per gallon!  Thanks Bi-Lo!
[five]
My husband just came home from his BFD meeting.  The firefighters had sandwiches and chips for supper....and Oreos!  Guess what!  He brought me some leftover cookies!  Just what I needed.
Go link up with Carissa....
