Saturday 9: Take Me Back

Saturday 9: Take Me Back

1. Think of all your exes. Would you take any of them back?  Heck NO!!
2. If anyone came to your house on your "lazy days" what would you be wearing?  Probably a pair of shorts and a t-shirt....wait...that's what I wear every day I'm not working....:)
3. What's your favorite shirt?  My fav is my light green shirt with the small blue flowers....its' soft and comfy!!

4. Have you ever been on your school's track team?  No way!
5. Do you own a pair of Converse?  Not any more, but I used to wear them and my daughters wear them now...
6. Where are you at right now?  I'm at home sitting at the kitchen table.
7. Do you eat raw cookie dough?  I don't eat it, but I will taste it....
8. Don't you hate when the radio ruins good songs by playing them over and over?  It depends on whether it's a song I like or not....if it's one I like, I don't mind hearing it over and over....
9. Do you watch the news?  Rarely....I'm not usually at home when the 6:00 news comes on, and then I'm asleep when the 11:00 new comes on....

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

I confess....
that I miss Lawren and Mary Jo....a lot....
I confess....
that I miss Lawren and Mary Jo....a lot....
I confess....
that I wish that I'd gone with L and MJ to California....
I confess....
that I will be glad when the rest of these three weeks are over so I can see my babies!

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. The best news I ever received was   when I found out I was pregnant with Charles and with Lawren and Mary Jo....I never really thought I'd have children, much less three in less than two years..

2. Something I'm looking forward to is    July 13th....Lawren and Mary Jo come home from California....!

3. Something I would never do is   eat liver (or other entrails), touch a snake, or hurt a child....

4. If I could choose someone to be my life coach (famous or not, living or dead), I'd choose   Anne Sullivan...she was the epitome of patience, dedication and selflessness as a teacher....

5. If I had to put a label on my style it would be     comfortable natural....nothing too fussy or fancy...   .

6. One should always   treat others as they'd like to be treated...

7. I want to   one day, get in my car and just drive...with no destination in mind and absolutely not time schedule or agenda...

Friday Fill-Ins

FFI
1. Blue skies, nothing but blue skies...

2. I'd love to take a walk down memory lane with some high school friends.

3. Kids are a big responsibility.

4. Reading, relaxing, and sunbathing; these are some of the best things about vacation.

5. Love is to be freely given.

6. Don't go to submarine races.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a quiet evening at home, tomorrow my plans include hanging out at the pool, and Sunday, I want to attend Sunday school and church, have a nice lunch, and then go to the pool again!

5QF

1. If you had the opportunity to bungee jump, would you?  No, never happen in a million years!!

2. Would you rather go to the movie theater or to the drive-in?  I love going to the movies, but I definitely don't get to go very often.  I've never been to a drive-in...so I guess the movie theather is for me!

3. Do you have your groceries delivered?  Oh my....wouldn't that be nice??  We don't have that option here in my small town....

4. Eyebrows: Do you wax, thread, pluck, or stay au naturel?  My eyebrows are really blonde, so I just let them stay au naturel.  I've had them waxed before, but the only difference after a waxing is that the skin is red and swollen.....not much difference can be seen in the actual eyebrows..
5. Would the people you went to high school with be surprised by your life today?
I doubt it.  Being a teacher was all that I ever wanted to do, and the husband and children came along after the career was established....no big surprieses....

SUYL - Yummy Breakfast Rolls

I'm linking up with Kelly for this week's edition of
Show Us Your Life - Breakfast Recipes

A friend, Kim Pence, gave me this recipe years ago when we taught together at a small rural school.  I make these every Christmas morning....they are my husband's favorite!

YUMMY BREAKFAST ROLLS

2 cans crescent rolls
16 oz. cream cheese
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 t. vanilla extract
1 t. cinnamon
1 stick melted margarine

Unroll 1 can of crescent rolls into the bottom of a 9 X 13 pan.  Don't press seams together!  Mix cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar and vanilla.  Spread over the rolls.  Place second can of rolls over top.  Pour melted margarine on top and then sprinkle with the rest of the sugar (1/4 c.) mixed with cinnamon.  Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
