Questions:

1. What feature of the opposite sex do you notice first?  Height....I'm a tall girl and I didn't want to date someone who was a lot shorter.  Now that I've been married for 19 years,  no physical feature really catches my eye....I just see people for who they are.

2. Do you talk to yourself?  Yes..that way I'm assured of at least one intelligent convo every once in a while...

3. What is your current relationship status?  Chuck and I have been married for 19 years....celebrated our anniversary on June 14th..

4. Do you have a garden?  No, I wish I did.  I am going to make a point of going to the local farmer's market to buy fresh veggies this summer...

5. What is your favorite licorice flavor?  None....no licorice for me!

Saturday 9: You May Be Right

 1. What is the craziest thing you've done in the last  year?  The children and I went to Georgia/Alabama to Josh's graduation from basic training, kind of on the spur of the moment.

2. What is something that you've lost recently?  I lost my willpower....I've bitten all of my fingernails off and I'm eating everything in sight!  Woe is me..... :( 


3. Where does your patience suffer the most? Sadly, with my own children.

4. Have you ever reread a book?  No, I haven't.

5. What is a TV show that you absolutely HATE to miss?  Survivor.

6. How old do you wish you were?  I wish I was the age I am now....almost 50.

7. Do you know your neighbors? Yes, but we don't associate with them.

8. Do you believe that opposites attract?  Yes.


9. Who was the last person that made you laugh?  Mary Jo....she's so silly!

that I think it is crazy that kids today think that as soon as they are able to drive, they should have a new car!

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. The last movie I saw was       Water for Elephants.  Chuck and I went to see it shortly after I finished reading the novel.  We both loved it!

2. I want to eat nacho chips with black bean and corn salsa and guacamole......

3. Surprises are   hard to come by....it is very difficult to surprise me, so don't try!

4. The best accessory is one's smile and attitude....

5. My favorite warm drink is a good hot cup of coffee with vanilla creamer.....

6. My favorite cold drink is        sweet tea....I'm a good Southern girl. .

7. Currently loving        my sweet husband.  He and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary this week.  He also arranged for both of us to get new/used cars this week.  He really didn't have to do it, but because the compressor was about to poop out on my car, he went ahead and traded it in!  He is absolutely the BEST, and I love him now more now than I did all those years ago.  He's my best friend, my rock, and my love!

Friday Fill-Ins

1. One of my favorite birthday presents was an angel figurine.

2. If you had listened to me, you wold have seen....it was as simple as that.

3. The moon is most beautiful when it's full.

4. My life includes many facets.

5. I was tempted by chocolate cake.

6. Sunbathing, relaxing, reading, and eating are some of the things I like to do on vacation.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to being with Chuck and the children, tomorrow my plans include going to Rock Hill for a softball tournament, and Sunday, I want to finish up at the softball tournament and safely drive home!

Ramblings...

Hey y'all.  Just a note to say that I'm still here but am knee-deep in life!

Here are a few things that are going on right now....

• Charles graduated from high school and we had a few family members over for lunch afterwards.
• David Graham and his crew have begun work on the exterior of our house....finally!
• We spent most of a week at the beach for the SCFA convention.
• The clothes dryer quit working as soon as we got home from the beach with 5 peoples' dirty clothes.
• The girls played in a softball tournament in Hartsville last weekend.
• Mary Jo slid into 3rd and scraped her whole leg and sprained her ankle.
• Work continues on the house.....from early in the morning until late in the afternoons.
• Chuck and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary.
• The compressor is about messed up on my car.
• Chuck had to have $1000 worth of work done on his truck.
• Chuck and I have been shopping for new/used cars for our family.
• I've been busy trying to get Carolina Cyclone paperwork and sponsorships in order for Lawren and Mary Jo.
• The Cyclones are playing this weekend in Rock Hill.
• Chuck bought me a new (used) car today and is going to pick up his new (used) car tomorrow.
• The fix-it man has not shown up yet, so the dryer still does not work.  I've been carting basketfuls of wet clothes to Beulah's to dry.
• Lawren and MJ leave for San Francisco/Berkeley next Wednesday and have done absolutely nothing to get ready.

Well, I really didn't mean to unload all of that so suddenly.  Hopefully when I find time to  sit to think about it all in the next few days, I will blog about each with a happier heart and more patient spirit.
